In February 2001, the US subsidiary of Cristopia cristopia Thermal Energy Storage, Inc. made a proposal for the retrofit of the TES system at Austin High School, Minnesota. The analysis of the system owned by the school, showed that 192 m3 of AC.00 nodules could fit in two existing tanks.

Characteristics

In July 2001, Austin High School decided to retrofit its Encapsulated Ice Thermal Energy Storage System with cristopia's AC.00 nodules. The nodules were installed in August and the system re-commissioned in September 2001, just in time for the commencement of the new school year.
