The Cristo'Pak: operating cost savings by a sustainable development technology
In 2002, the company EDENA, which produces spring waters and soft drinks on the Reunion Island, decided to renovate its refrigeration plant.

savings by optimizing its production process and by adopting innovative
technologies meeting the criteria of the sustainable development program of the Island

To meet these aims, it was decided to install a Cristo'Pak of 315 kW. The use of the Cristo'Pak lead to operating cost savings and has increased the efficiency and the reliability of the cooling plant. In addition, the STL brings flexibility in the management of energy.

Technical Data

Characteristics The plant consists of a Cristo'Pak of 315 kW controlled with a Cristo'Control. The air cooled chiller (230 kW at 3/8°C and 150 kW at -8/-5°C in charge mode) and the STL tank of 28 m³ are connected to the Cristo'Pak. The Cristo'Control is able to optimize automatically the use of the TES according to the real cooling demand and to control the installation by remote management. In addition, the performances of the installation can be followed by Internet and the electrical consumptions in each tariff period is measured. |
