Cristo'Pak

In 2002, the SOGUAVA & TTSA company, a car dealer, has decided to move its headquarters to Moudong in the Mahault Bay.

The new building (3,500 m2) is composed of an exhibition hall, offices and a garage. The building was constructed with innovative technologies such as building materials, high efficiency lighting and air conditioning system with a Thermal Energy Storage System (STL).

In Guadeloupe, electrical consumption due to air conditioning in commercial building represents usually 65% of the overall consumption.

Objective

To reduce the electrical bill it was decided to install a “Cristo’Pak” with a Thermal Energy Storage System (STL). The Cristo’Pak is controlled by a innovative control system “Cristo’Control” using the latest communication technologies (remote management, e-reporting and preventive maintenance).

Every day electricity is shifted from on peak to off peak period. The performances are monitored by the control system and can be guaranteed.

It has enabled the client to reduce the installed cooling capacity by 20% and to reduce the electrical bill by 50%.

Characteristics

The plant consists of a Cristo'Pak of 250 kW controlled with a Cristo'Control. The air cooled chiller (205 kW) and the STL tank of 22 m³ are connected to the Cristo'Pak.

The Cristo'Control is able to optimize automatically the use of the TES according to the real cooling demand and to control the installation by remote management. In addition, the performances of the installation can be followed by Internet and the electrical consumptions in each tariff period is measured.

Technical Advantages

Smaller chiller capacity
Reduced maintenance
Efficient and reliable system
Efficient energy management with Cristo'Control
Remote management & preventive maintenance
E-reporting
