Stockaid 2002 has been developed for the sizing of the STL. This software was validated with our test facility.
Stockaid 2002 allows us to determine all the STL characteristics and to develop a study file.

Stockaid 2002 determines
all parameters from the histogram, the operating temperatures (with or
without heat exchanger) and the chiller operation hours.
After a first calculation, it is possible to modify
several parameters in order to optimize the selection.
Stockaid 2002 also gives data like energy available in the STL, the chiller
capacity, etc...
Stockaid 2002 liberates the engineer of the tricky and repetitive
calculations, enabling the time saved to be used to optimize the selection.

Simulation Software : Simu-STL
In collaboration with a French University, Cristopia has developed a unique tool to simulate the operation of process refrigeration and air-conditioning plants. For each component of the system (chiller, STL, demand) this software calculates dynamically :
the temperatures
the flow rate
the capacity
the energy
the operating conditions
This software was fully validated by comparing the simulation results with real experiments on the test facility at the university and on Cristopia’s test facility.
On request simulations can be run by Cristopia Energy Systems to help the consulting engineer during the design stage. The result obtained are of great value as it demonstrates how a system will react to given operating conditions (variation of load, temperature, flow rate, etc…).

Test Facility
Cristopia Energy Systems has developed a test facility similar to a small installation. It includes all the equipment of a real installation as the STL, the chiller, the control, the expansion tank,...
This test facility is a unique and essential tool for a Thermal Energy Storage systems manufacturer. It has allowed us to fully test the STL, but also the operation of the full system.
The test facility can be used to simulate the operation of an installation with a STL.
This simulation can help the mechanical engineer in charge of the design :
to check the hydraulic layout and the control system
to fully validate the sizing of the installation
to obtain a total guarantee of success
Measurement Facility
Why a Measurement Facility ?
Cristopia has created this special tool to increase its sales support and to develop new customer services.
The measurement facility can be used :
before sales : auditing an existing installation without STL
for the commissioning of large STL systems (>25 000 kWh stored)
for annual system operation checking
expertise of chillers, heat exchangers or traditional installations
expertise on other thermal storage systems.
Presentation of the Measurement Facility
The measurement facility consists of two robust suitcases designed to be transported easily by airplane. The user manual (today in French) describes all the relevant procedures : installation of the instruments, start of the test, editing of the report and the performance curves.
